Rack & Structured Cabling Design in Egypt

A well-planned rack and cabling system is the backbone of a reliable IT environment. VIA HQ designs and installs server racks, industrial racks, and structured cabling in Egypt, so your equipment is organized, easy to manage, and ready to grow with your business.

Why Rack Layout and Cabling Matter

Messy cabling and poor rack layout cause overheating, accidental disconnections, slow troubleshooting, and costly downtime. A planned design improves airflow, speeds up maintenance, and makes it far easier to add equipment later.

What We Deliver

Rack Layout and Equipment Planning

We plan where every server, switch, patch panel, and UPS goes, balancing weight, airflow, power, and access, so the rack works efficiently from day one.

Structured Cabling (Copper and Fiber)

We install Cat6, Cat6A, and fiber optic cabling with patch panels and clear routing, designed around your distances, speeds, and future needs.

Cable Management and Labeling

Neat routing, cable managers, and clear labeling on every cable and port, so your team can trace and fix any link in minutes instead of hours.

Testing and Documentation

We test every link and hand over documentation of ports, routes, and layout, so the system stays easy to manage long after installation.

Industrial Racks for Demanding Environments

Not every IT installation lives in a clean server room. Factories, warehouses, and production floors expose equipment to dust, heat, vibration, and physical impact. We supply and install industrial racks and cabinets suited to these environments, protecting your network equipment and keeping it accessible for maintenance.

Built to Grow With Your Business

We leave room for expansion in rack space, cable pathways, and port capacity, so adding equipment later does not mean rebuilding. Pair it with a reliable power and cooling setup for a complete server room, or explore our full server room solutions.

What is structured cabling?

Structured cabling is a standardized, organized cabling system that connects your network equipment, servers, and workstations through patch panels and labeled links. It is easier to manage, troubleshoot, and expand than ad-hoc point-to-point cabling.

What is the difference between a standard server rack and an industrial rack?

A standard server rack is designed for clean, climate-controlled server rooms. An industrial rack or cabinet is built for tougher environments such as factories, warehouses, and production floors, where dust, heat, vibration, and physical impact are a concern. The right choice depends on where your equipment will be installed.

Should I use Cat6, Cat6A, or fiber optic cabling?

Cat6 supports 10 Gbps only up to about 55 meters, while Cat6A supports 10 Gbps up to 100 meters. Fiber optic is the better choice for longer distances, backbone links between rooms or buildings, and higher-speed requirements. We recommend the right mix after reviewing your layout and future needs.

Can you reorganize an existing rack or cabling that is already messy?

Yes. We audit your current setup, then label, re-route, and organize cables and equipment. Wherever possible we plan the work in phases to minimize disruption to your operations.
